KBOI Visits tres bonne cuisine
A Food Review by Patrick Trakel, Boise Weekly January 19, 2012
In the Kitchen With Tom and Barbara Haines of Tres Bonne Cuisine
"At Tres Bonne Cuisine, every
inch of space not devoted to dining is stuffed full of sweet and savory edibles
from all over Europe. An adjoining room holds hundreds of bottles of beer and
wine from an even more diverse selection of countries. Barbara Haines can
usually be found chatting with the customers, while her husband, Tom, sticks
mainly to the kitchen. To say that there’s more to Tom than meets the eye is
putting it mildly." READ The Article.
In the Kitchen With Tom and Barbara Haines of Tres Bonne Cuisine
A Food Review by Amy Atkins, Boise Weekly November 17, 2010
"Whether it's a restaurant with a store or a store with a restaurant, one
thing European restaurants in town have that other ethnic eateries do
not is a selection of wares. Tres Bonne Cuisine
is equal parts home-style cooking and European goods--walls and
countertops are covered in every kind of Eastern European cookie,
cracker, jam, candy and dry good that you can imagine--including an
entire room dedicated to wine and beer." READ ARTICLE. . . . A Food Review by Rachael Daigle, Boise Weekly November 17, 2010 "It's difficult to shake the feeling that you've just walked into your grandmother's kitchen when you cross the threshold into Tres Bonne Cuisine.
Proprietor Barbara Haines may be standing, hands on hips, among the
handful of tables draped in brightly colored homey tablecloths, or she
may be seated at one, chatting up regular customers in two languages.
Regardless, she's a stern yet friendly face." READ ARTICLE . . .
